At FORK
Philly restaurateur Ellen Yin is one of the most admired hospitality pros and community builders around. Cherry Bombe and OpenTable hosted the most recent Sit With Us dinner at Ellen’s restaurant Fork and welcomed members of the Sisterly Love Collective as well as other food folk from the city.
As guests arrived, they mingled and sipped on a Tenango 75 (made with Sofia Deleon’s Tenango Rum), and non-alcoholic French 75. As for the menu, the first course included fluke crudo, beets with crispy maitake and ruby grapefruit, an endive salad, and mountain bread with whipped goat cheese and shaata. The second course featured whole Pennsylvania trout, dry-aged grass-fed rib eye, and cavatelli pasta with mushroom ragu & pecorino.
The dessert course included dark chocolate tarts and lemongrass custard, and slices of the pink lambeth cake that Noelle Blizzard of New June Bakery brought as a surprise treat. Everyone left with a copy of the new Icons Issue of Cherry Bombe Magazine, an engraved wooden spoon from Sisterly Love, and a special tote bag.
A portion of the evening’s proceeds benefited Sisterly Love.
